    A bit of sad news for the bunny watchers in town. The lone black bunny met his demise last weekend. He turned up at the Smith house for lunch Saturday, and the Smith labs thought he’d be better as a dish than a guest. Whether he froze to death or was scared to it by those big labs, our little black bunny is gone. Maybe this spring we might see a random black bunny in the litters of the others.     The residents and rabbits have ventured out again from their warm abodes. The sun has been shining and has started to melt the now dirt-black snow. But, don’t fertilize the lawn yet, we still have a lot of freezing to do. Two Albin community members worked on a beautiful quilt. The Albin Lunch Program will sell raffle tickets for the quilt until the drawing Jan. 27 at the first of the monthly Sunday dinners the program will host.     Still bitterly cold in northern Laramie County. I noticed the bunnies seem too cold to show their noses out of the burrows. Albin Elementary had their award ceremony Wednesday afternoon. Superintendent of Public Education Cindy Hill's staff attended and recognized Albin’s efforts that helped them receive the National Distinguished School Award.
