    The Town council met on Monday at 7pm in the Town Hall. All members were present as well as Chief of Police Austin Smith After the preliminary items were discussed and voted on the topic turned to the ordinance that governs the parking of recreational vehicles on the streets. There was discussion on setting dates as to when parking was not allowed and exceptions to the ordinance.     Beverly Lane (Hotaling) Briggs passed away suddenly on September 3rd, 2023. She was 85 years old. She was born in Ault, Colorado in the spring of 1938. She graduated from Ault High School where she was involved with school and community activities. Before she met her husband-to-be, she attended Colorado A&M (CSU). In January of 1959, Beverly married James Clyde Briggs of Holyoke, Colorado. Throughout their years together, they lived in Colorado, Nebraska, Wyoming, and Arizona.     Rawlins, Wyo. – Due to a technical issue with our ePlanning site, today the Bureau of Land Management restarted the 30-day public comment period for the proposed Tallgrass Southeast CO2 Sequestration Project. If approved, Tallgrass could store carbon dioxide (CO2) in approximately 480 acres of sub-surface federal pore space in Laramie County. The comment period will now close Oct. 10, 2023.     CASPER, Wyo. (September 12, 2023) –Yellow starthistle, highly invasive weed, was discovered on private land in Natrona County in August.     The Pine Bluffs Hornets varsity football team played their second game of the season at home against the Guernsey Vikings last Friday night.     Ryan Mohren, running back for the Hornets varsity football team was named the WyoPrep's Athlete of the week for week one of the 2023 football season. Mohren, who is one of the smallest players on the team at 5ft 7in and 160 lbs was the offensive star of the Hornets opening game against the Shoshoni Wranglers.     The Pine Bluffs Roping Club had what could be the last roping competition of the year.     The Burns Lady Broncs varsity volleyball team travelled to Big Horn to take on the mighty Lady Rams. The Rams are 12-5-1 on the season and seated #1 in the 2A northeast conference.     The Big Horn tournament would start with the Lady Hornets facing the Big Piney Lady Punchers. The Punchers have a record of 1-6 and wanted to turn their season around with big wins at the tournament.     The Pine Bluffs Hornets Junior Varsity football team traveled across the border to lock horns with the Kimball Longhorns.     The stands were full of people and the animals were prepped for the day. At the end of the of the county fair the 4-H kids had an opportunity to sell their animals.
