Pawnee Coyotes win big in first outing

Pawnee Coyotes pitcher David Martin started the season off as pitcher for the first few innings of the team’s game versus Highland last week. The team got off to a slow start, but overcame an 11-point deficit to win 23-12.

There are a few things fans learn after a few years of watching sports. One of those is to not leave the game too soon. Such was the case for the first game on the diamond at Pawnee High School last week.

Facing off with the team from Highland High School, the Pawnee Coyotes found themselves battling not only strong winds, but an 11-point deficit after three at bats by Highland were in the books.

But, as fans know, it’s not over ‘til it’s over.
