Add a little tart to your diet

 

The mild days, the spring blizzards, and the mud in the roads are calling the kids to play outside. It’s time to pucker those cheeks for a bit of a tart experience.

Many dessert recipes call for the split personality plump berries that sprout in our fresh produce section this time of year. But those oddly round fruits with their sugary sweet exterior and the punch of tangy tart insides are a nifty addition to salads and main dishes, too.

My family likes having fresh berries or any fruit on the counter ready to enjoy. And this is the season to try a new berry.

I like using fresh cherries...
