Hornet teams fare well at Guernsey Invite

Andrea Baker has already pre-qualified in the shot put and discus, and she continues to improve her throwing form and record. At Saturday’s Viking Invite in Guernsey, Baker took first place in both events. The photos above show her winning form.

The Pine Bluffs Hornets track team traveled to Guernsey for an invitational on Saturday and came away with several first place finishes.

The 4x100 relay teams both took first place. The men covered the distance in 47.29 seconds and the women in 55.60 seconds. Members of the men’s team are Preston Thurin, JC Thurin, Junior Bell, and Landon Naranjo. Jesi Zitek, Brooke Darden, Ariane Johnson and Sam Hanson make up the ladies team.

For the men, Lane Nusbaum won the 110 hurdles with a time of 17.90 seconds. He also took first in the high jump with a height of 5’, 10” and second in the 100m...
