Pawnee Coyote girls fall to Peetz, Heritage Christian

The Pawnee girls' basketball team needs to step up their game, according to coach Megan Malcom.

The team played their first league game of the season Dec. 12 against the Peetz Bulldogs at home and lost by eight points with a final score of 62-54.

"We have been struggling with getting points on the board in the first quarter and only had 16 up for the first half," Malcom said. "Second half, we came out stronger, putting up 23 points in the fourth – outscoring Peetz who put up 14.

"Our goal is to start as well as we've been finishing."
