Coyotes look to be competitive this season


Tim Brunelle is entering his tenth year as the coach of the Pawnee Coyotes boys basketball team.

Coming off an 8-12 performance from last season, Brunelle said there are still areas of the game his team needs to improve upon. It’s a trend that he has seen over his tenure at Pawnee High School.

“Last year was an improvement over the year before and so on,” he said. “We were playing a lot of sophomores last season and we’re looking to improve on that this coming season.”

Injuries are another of Brunelle’s concerns, as well as shoring up his team’s fundamentals.
