Thompson named 2A Southeast Conference POY

Fellow Hornets plus Lady Hornets, Broncs and Lady Broncs also honored

Pine Bluffs junior Hunter Thompson, left, was named 2015-16 Wyoming 2A Southeast Conference Player of the Year. Thompson helped the Hornets earn their first state championshop since 1983 and also set a new all-time scoring record for Pine Bluffs in the process. Thompson was also named All-Conference and All-State, along with his teammate Haize Fornstrom, right.

Pine Bluffs junior Hunter Thompson was named 2A Southeast Conference Player of the Year recently, as well as being named All-Conference and All-State.

Thompson's teammate Haize Fornstrom was all named All-Conference and All-State.

Fellow Hornets Kyle Steger and Trent Werner were also named All-Conference.

Also in 2A boys basketball, Burns Broncs Sam Sharpe and Klayton Clark were named All-Conference.

On the girls' side, Lady Hornets Azhane Bufford and Jadyn Golding were named All-State and All-Conference, as was Burns Lady Bronc Jessica Malm.
