Whiteout conditions were in full effect last Wednesday as much of eastern Laramie County was shut down when a blizzard rolled through the region. According to the National Weather Service in Cheyenne, record amounts of snow were reported in several areas and major roads were temporarily closed from Cheyenne to the Wyoming/Nebraska border.
If you thought the official start of spring on March 20 meant we were out of the woods concerning winter weather, think again. Last week, the region was dealt a nasty reminder there is still plenty of winter left in mother nature's bag of goodies.
Residents found themselves digging out from record snowfalls and restricted from traveling due to several road closures issused by the Wyoming Department of Transportation.
