LCFD3 gets a new truck

Laramie County Fire District #3 received its new fire truck on Monday. This 2016 Rosenbauer/Freightliner tender will be a first response vehicle for all structure and vehicle fires in the district. The purchase was funded through several sources, including SLIB, fifth-penny funds and a grant from the fire chief's association.

Fire protection in the Albin area took a giant leap forward last Monday as Laramie County Fire District #3 took delivery of its new fire truck.

LCFD3 assistant chief Lee Peterson said the 2016 Rosenbauer engine/tender combination will see immediate duty.

"This truck will be first-out on all rural structure and car fires for our district," said Peterson. "This will be an addition to our fleet. With this engine, we will have a total of 12 trucks."

Rosenbauer salesman Jason Kline hand-delivered the truck to LCFD3 from the factory in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
