The 55 And Up Club will hold their monthly potluck luncheon on Friday, July 8, at 12 p.m. at the Friendship Alliance North Church in Grover. Everyone 55 and over is welcome to attend. Come and join in the fun with your friends and family. There will be a door prize!

Hereford resident Cynthia Schlaer is enjoying a visit from her brother Jay Tanner from Red Hook, New York. Jay is a musician who sings and plays the guitar and harmonica. Together Cynthia and Jay performed a concert for the people of the Hereford area on Saturday, June 25.

This is the fourth year that they have performed for the Hereford area during Jay’s visit, and they look forward to next year when they will again have a concert.

This week at the Hereford Community Church Carolyn Ragsdale celebrated her birthday. For the special day, Cynthia Schlaer and her brother Jay Tanner sang with Jay playing the guitar and harmonica. They did “Turn Your Radio On” and “Mississippi Flood.” Then Shirley Hall played “We Are So Blessed” on the piano.

The sermon topic was God Is Precise and the scripture was Psalm 19 and 139.

Next week Holy Communion will be served, and the sermon topic will be Which Way, America. Then on July 10 the church will hold their quarterly business meeting at 10 a.m. before the service, and the sermon topic will be Acharit - Future.

Vacation Bible School will be offered for children on July 13, 14, and 15.
