At age 95, Don Morse is still as active as ever

Don Morse has seen a lot of changes in the farming industry over the decades. The retired cattle farmer, who lives in Egbert, now spends his time recycling scrap iron from old cars and tractors. He will be celebrating his 95th birthday on August 5 and would love for friends and neighbors to send him birthday cards to mark the milestone occasion.

Don Morse does not know a stranger. To him, everyone is an old or new friend. He is celebrating a mile-stone birthday, his 95th, on August 5 and is still full of stories of days gone by.

Don was born in Wheatland on August 5, 1921 to Charles and Nora Morse. He graduated from Carpenter High School in 1939, served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged to return home to help his father with the family farm.

He spent the rest of his life farming and raising cattle on his home east of Carpenter until he retired at the age of 78.
