With outpouring of support, community gets back on its feet following devastating hailstorm

Cheyenne Urban Forestry employee Jake Mares works to remove a partially fallen tree at City Park Thursday after a hailstorm hit Pine Bluffs. Cheyenne Urban Forestry was one of several out-of-town agencies who lended a hand after the storm.

Town of Pine Bluffs residents and people from surrounding communities banded together after last week's hailstorm, helping the community of 1,200 back on its feet.

Several state and volunteer organizations began rolling into the town after the storm hit Wednesday afternoon. Church groups, volunteers who simply felt helping with cleanup was "the right thing to do" and local businesses all provided a helping hand.

Tammy Tucker, owner of the recently opened Something on the Way coffee shop opened her doors to first responders and others who were otherwise displaced by the storm.
