Panhandle women hit the links

Even though the day was hot and steamy, 40 ladies from the Panhandle Senior Women’s Golf Association gathered together for an enjoyable day of golf at the beautiful Scottsbluff Country Club this past Monday. Results from the tournament: First place team – Gail Magers, Joey Eberhardt, Aliene Schilz and Pat Rogers. Second place – Sandy Huckfeldt, Jane Holechek, Claudia Benda and Kathy Anthony. Third Place – Dee Vogel, Lynn Schukei and Nancy O’Connell. Fourth place – Daria Faden, Karen Koch, Beth Korell and Kay Heggem. There were three teams with one birdie each, three with two birdies and two teams with hole outs. The ladies would like to extend a huge thank you to pro Max Hadenfeldt and his crew for their making sure all had a great time and a big thank you to the chef and staff for a fantastic taco salad buffet. The next Senior Tournament will be held in Alliance, Nebraska on August 22nd and members are to call the pro at the Skyview Golf Course to sign up for play. All area ladies – 50 years of age and older are invited to come play with this wonderful group of ladies as we continue to grow in numbers.
