Lady Hornets sting the competition; remain unbeaten

Pine Bluffs' Sierra Shelit, center, drives toward the basket last Friday at home as the Lady Hornets downed the Burns Lady Broncs, 53-28. The girls improved to 12-0 with the win and currently sit at 13-0 heading into action this weekend at Potter-Dix in Nebraska.

At this point in the season, it seems the only ones capable of beating the Pine Bluffs Lady Hornets are themselves. The team is displaying championship form coming off a weekend that saw them bat Burns and iobrara County.

Burns

Last Friday, the girls hosted the Lady Broncs from nearby Burns.

The Lady Broncs got an early lead, but Pine Bluffs quickly moved ahead and remained there for the rest of the game, leading 23-3 at halftime and eventually getting the 53-28 win.

Montanna Chrystal led Pine Bluffs with 18 points, followed by Kammie Ragsdale and Melissa Fornstrom with 8 each, Sierra She...
