Hunt teaches youths hunting, conservation

On Saturday morning, young hunters and volunteers hopped in the car and headed up to an area near LaGrange to try their hand at pheasant hunting.
When they arrived, they were treated to breakfast burritos and a chance to hone their skills shooting clay pigeons.
They were a part of what has become a tradition for the High Plains Pheasants Forever Chapter, based in Pine Bluffs Wyoming.
"We had a lot of new hunters, so we wanted to make sure they knew how to handle guns safely before they went afield," said chapter president Dean Bowman.
