Off to the races...the Corgi Derby opens it's Inaugural Season

The Kentucky Derby…a show of amazing horseflesh that has captivated audiences for generations. The hats, the drinks, the dresses, everything about the derby is classy and stylish. Erica Unruh and The Pine Bluffs Distillery have worked hard to bring you the inaugural opening of the Corgi Derby! For a small entry fee your corgi can show off his skill in the 50 yard race on Saturday, May 4th at 3:30 p.m. doors open at three.

So far Unruh has 23 racers signed up for the event some coming from as far as Lander and Colorado to showcase their animals land speed. All competing for Inaugural Corgi Trophy and at least a years worth of bragging rights. Spectators can watch the race in traditional derby style with drink specials on Mint Juleps and Bourbon Mules while watching the actual Kentucky Derby on the newly installed TV system.

Proceeds from the Corgi Derby will be donated to the Cheyenne Animal Shelter and a gift basket has been donated by the Cheyenne Dog Food Company. Come on out and watch the stunning display of corgi flesh as they compete for the title of “Fastest Corgi in the County.”
