Fire stirred by wind takes CRP land

Laramie County Fire District No. 3 of Albin responded to a grass fire on Sunday afternoon southwest of Albin. The fire was on County road 157 and 223. There was no damage to surrounding structures but about 25 to 30 acres of Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) land was burned. The Wyoming wind was blowing at an approximate speed of 23 miles per hour, which did not help with the extinguishing of the fire.
