Burns Day is back! June 12th this year the Burns Lions Club worked diligently to bring back the celebration. Burns Day started out years ago as a celebration for class reunions. Egbert and Burns High Schools were combined when these reunions were started. Eventually it turned into a whole town celebration with a parade, vendors, sports competitions and of course food.

Several years ago Burns Day ceased due to lack of interest and assistance in putting together the celebration. It's no small feat to take on this sort of task.
