At the Pine Bluffs rest area you can take a walk on the trail that leads to the Windows On the Past Pine Bluffs Archaelogy Site Interpretive Center.

This dig site was started in 1975 by Charles Reher. In the building is the site of the original dig. A tour in the building with a guide helps one through the different findings. It has information of the Indians, that were in the area; what the town looked at in the beginning; plants in area now and then; artifacts that has been found at time of the dig. There are little details of everything found at the site.
