Governor appoints new WBC Board Member

Cheyenne, Wyo. - The Wyoming Business Council (WBC) is pleased to announce the addition of a new board member to our Board of Directors. Governor Mark Gordon nominated and the Senate confirmed Derek Smith of Gillette to our board with a term expiration of March 1, 2025.

Derek is a Landman with Devon Energy and volunteers his time as the president of the Gillette Main Street board and as a public relations volunteer for Cheyenne Frontier Days. He was also appointed to a partial term on the Wyoming Main Street Advisory Board and will serve in both roles.
