The sun is shining and the weather is perfect for some camping at a local lake. Oliver Reservoir is the mid point between Bushnell and Kimball, Nebraska.

The reservoir was a part of the irrigation district in 1909. In 1911 they built a dam to have water for the crops in the area. In the 1970's the dam was condemned due to deteriorating concrete leading to water seepage. The irrigation district could not use it any more. So the communities from Kimball and Pine Bluffs tried to raise money to save the lake. The Game and Fish department decided to make it into a hunting and fishing park.
