Curt Gowdy Park
To enjoy some lakes on the way up to the mountains a person can stop at Curt Gowdy State park. It is 24 miles west of Cheyenne.This place was established in 1971 with the city of Cheyenne and the Boys Scouts. It was named after Curt Gowdy because he was a sportscaster and outdoorman along with being a Wyoming native.
This year Cheryl Gowdy helped out and built the Little House at the park. It is on the west side of the Visitors center. The place is for the kids to do some activities while at the park. They can attend reading time, crafts time, and do activities to explore the park. When a pers...
