Coyotes come home wounded


The Pawnee Coyotes wandered from their home field for a non conference match-up in Woodlin against Arickaree and brought home a loss and a wounded team member.

“We got beat handily by a fast and aggressive Arickaree team 12-54,” coach Doug Miller sighed. “It was never really a ball game. It’s definitely not lack of effort. Everyone is playing hard; we’re just young, small and not real speedy.”

The team played hard but Arickaree had too much speed for the young Coyotes. More painful than the loss was Sage Smock re-injuring his shoulder that sidelined him last year.
