The Pawnee Coyotes basketball team lost the neutral playoff game Feb. 26 against Peetz, 60-40 at the 1A District Tournament in Sterling. The Coyotes season ended with a 2-18 record.

Disappointment often comes hand in hand with hope for the future. That hope rests in the laps of the young men who will step off the bench for Pawnee next year. Some of them had extensive playing time due to the upperclassmen sustaining injuries during the season. Two scoring positions will be vacated by Austin Burson and Trent Timm.
