Broncs buck off competition in Chappell


On April 11, Burns Bronc track teams headed to Chappell, Neb. to compete in the Tri State Track Meet. The boys team tied for first with Bridgeport with 123 points. The girls team received fourth place with 91.75 points. In all, the Burns Broncs placed third with 214.75 points at the meet.

Brooks Hoffman,Head Girls Varsity Track and Field Coach, said he was pleased to have a large number of girls ready to compete. She said some girls competed in new events and did very well handling the stress and placed.

“I was very proud of the team today and how well they competed,” Hoffman said.
