Rumors put to rest

If all goes as planned in May and June, ground on this vacant Main Street lot could be broken as early as this summer to make way for the new Veteran's Memorial and Community Plaza.

After some rumors that has the proposed Pine Bluffs Veterans Memorial and Community Plaza nothing but a vague memory, Larry Silvey, who is heading up the project, says it is still alive and well, and after a meeting of LEADS in Rawlins on May 28, he will know whether the grant for the project is supported. If it is, Gov. Matt Mead will also have to sign off on the project, and whether the project will proceed from there could be known as early as June 15.
