Mckenzie Ward Signs with Pronghorns Ward twins female athletes of the year

A signing party in front of friends and family at Burns High School last Friday saw Mckenzie Ward sign with the Gillette Pronghorns, and also receive the SEWAC Female Athlete of the Year in Basketball for 2015 from her father, Barry Ward. She is pictured with Matt Strickland (left), assistant coach, and Head Coach Will Rider (right).

It's not often that two members of the same family, in the same year, sign for full scholarships with schools that are a mere two hours driving distance from one another. It's even less likely that those family members will be twins, and female. However, this is exactly what has happened at Burns High School this year, first with the signing of Mckayla Ward with Sheridan College, and now her twin Mckenzie has signed with Gillette.

Last Friday, Head Coach Will Rider, and Assistant Coach Matt Strickland were on hand to welcome Mckenzie to the Pronghorn family of basketball players at Gillette...
