Siren test on Friday


The Cheyenne/Laramie County Emergency Management Agency will be testing the outdoor warning siren system promptly at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 2 for Pine Bluffs and at noon in Cheyenne and surrounding towns. The warning system will sound a steady signal for a period of one to three minutes.

The siren system is the most effective method to warn the population at large in the shortest amount of time. They are called outdoor warning systems because their primary purpose is to alert people who are outside to severe weather, chemical or other emergencies.
