    The village board met on Thursday, May 9. It was a long meeting since it covered business from both April and May. Shirley announced that she is retiring on July 15. We will miss you, Shirley! The power outage last week caused some hiccups in the water supply — if your water pressure was low for a while, that’s why.     The village board met briefly last week, as there wasn’t much on the agenda to discuss. The sewer project is complete, and no major maintenance problems were found during the survey. Just lots of tree roots and sand in the pipes … the board is considering investing in a hydraulic root cutter for the sewer jetter so they can keep up maintenance on the pipes more easily.
