    During the Pine Bluffs Town Meeting Monday, Aug. 4, the council reviewed some financial items and had a special guest in the audience. The first item for new business the council discussed was the Emergency Medical Technician Director salary. The council approved to raise the salary from $250 to $600. However, the EMT Director has resigned and the five EMTs have been given the Director’s responsibilities evenly. The raise will cover the EMT’s costs for some business meetings.     What could be more fun than swimming, riding a bike and taking a walk with a little friend? This is what Sanja Fronstrom, Recreation Director, asked when she thought of the idea for the Mini Me Triathlon, which will be held Aug. 24. Fornstrom also works with the Pine Bluffs Day Care and noticed the outdoor area needs some shade so the kids and day care workers will be more comfortable on sunny days.     Texas Trail Market fed the community of Pine Bluffs bacon, cheddar hamburgers along with chips and a drink for Friday dinner in the Texas Trail Market parking lot.     For the last night of the Double Bar G Rodeo Series, cowboys and cowgirls who were tough enough to ride in the rodeo showed they are also tough enough to wear pink.     Cowboys and cowgirls of all ages gathered in the arena Saturday for Pine Bluffs Trail Days Teenage Rodeo. The Teenage Rodeo was open to youth, between the ages of 5 and 18. The rodeo began with the flying of the Wyoming and American flags. The Trail Days Rodeo Queen, Brook Darden, waved to the crowd as she galloped into the arena. Kathy was born and raised in Pine Bluffs and graduated from the Pine Bluffs High School. Tom is from New Jersey. They met each other while Tom was stationed at the F.E.     A local man had noticed the Pine Bluffs Leaning Rock Golf Course hadn’t received much tender loving care and had a few recommendations to share at the Pine Bluffs Town Council meeting July 21. Dennis Talich helped create the golf course along with his neighbor, Robin Wilhelm. It took 13 years to complete the golf course. At almost every Double Bar G Rodeo, Braxton Wiesen, of Carpenter, can be seen racing Rascal, a shetland pony, during the Pee Wee Barrels.     Pine Bluffs residents help make their town a bit more beautiful one act at at time. During Monday night’s town meeting, a local man proposed to beautify the downtown area. Larry Silvey, of Pine Bluffs, along with Jeanie Vetter, project designer, presented to the council and guests his idea for a Veterans Memorial.     The Albin Museum will have a grand re-opening on Albin Day, after the parade. The Albin Museum is a treasure chest that holds Albin’s history. The building itself is a piece of local history. Tenetta Anderson, of Albin, said the museum’s building was the original Boy Scout house for Troop 110. Anderson said it was built by local men who went into the mountains and chopped down the logs.     Albin is making more room to play in their community center. A 25 by 100 foot addition will be added to the north side of the community center. The addition will be used for storage and include a new 25 by 25 foot weight room.     The Town of Burns announced new security cameras have been installed and are working. The cameras have been installed in the hallways of both Burns Plex buildings. These are the first security cameras for the town of Burns.     Burns Emergency Medical Service raised $148 at the chili cook off during Burns Day. Erica Maddison, supervisor for Burns EMS, said the money raised will be put into savings.     The Pine Bluffs Town Council approved a few items June 2 that may help improve the town of Pine Bluffs. The first item of new business was deciding which insurance company the town would use to insure buildings and vehicles. Mark Anderson, of Burns Insurance, presented two options to the council, Cincinnati Insurance Company and Travelers Insurance. The council made a motion to choose the Cincinnati Insurance Company.
