    Pine Bluffs town offices will soon be moving to a consolidated location. Specifically, the town’s municipal building will be moving across the street from its current location at 220 Main Street. Pine Bluffs Treasurer Kim Patterson said the move will give residents a chance to do their business with the town from a “one-stop shopping” approach. Currently, Pine Bluffs’ department heads are scattered at various offices throughout town.     BURNS — Laramie County School District 2 board members on Monday voted to purchase a small piece of land from the Town of Pine Bluffs for $7,500 at the Pine Bluffs RV Park and Campground. The school district currently owns the rest of the park with the exception of about 7,500 square feet.     As of Friday, Aug. 10, about 10 percent of Laramie County voters have cast their ballots for the primary election according to the Laramie County Clerk’s office. “A total of 3078 voters cast ballots in the Atrium of the Laramie County Governmental Complex. The highest daily number of voters to date was today, Friday, with 270 electors voting,” Laramie County Clerk Debra Lee said in a press release.     A Laramie County District Court judge determined last week that Republican gubernatorial candidate Taylor Haynes can continue his campaign amid questions of the candidate’s residency. Hayne’s resides on a ranch that straddles the Wyoming-Colorado border in Albany and Larimer (Colorado) Counties.     Monday voted to absorb a retirement system contribution rate increase for public employees. Contributions will increase of increments of .5 percent over the next four years, leading to a total increase of 2 percent, Pine Bluffs Treasurer Kim Patterson said during Monday’s town council meeting.     Former Pine Bluffs High School distance-running standout Alejandro Garcia put on a familiar show Saturday, Aug. 4 as he won the 17th annual Longhorn Stampede 5K. It wasn’t close as he finished with a time of 15:20. That’s less than a 5-minute mile. Fifty-one competitors turned out to compete in the early-morning run which took place in Pine Bluffs.     Over a 10-day period, the National Weather Service in Cheyenne issued 95 total warnings. As a breakdown, that's 74 severe thunderstorm warnings, 14 tornado warnings and seven flash flood warnings. Compare that to a low of eight warnings issued in 2009, all severe.     Donald Anderson has called the Albin area home since 1929. Saturday, along with his wife, Vernida, he will take part in the annual Albin Day parade as grand marshal. “He has deep roots here,” Vernida said. “I guess that’s why they asked us to be grand marshals.” Donald and Vernida married in 1988 after their previous spouses passed away.     A Pine Bluffs man is asking the community for help after losing a piece of equipment that helps him get around. Gary Shandera was herding cattle on a dirt bike in 2011 when he hit a badger hole.     Pine Bluffs residents will be able to set off certain fireworks during three-day period in July. On July 3, 4 and 5 residents can enjoy ground-based fireworks and sparklers.
